| MISSION | |
| The Logistic Sustainment Division develops, assesses and implements deployment and distribution capability solutions with Combatant Commanders, Services, Agencies and others to improve forecasted accuracy. Optimizes transportation planning in joint distribution operations and increases time definite delivery of sustainment movements. Leads transformation efforts to influence stock locations for optimized transportation and leverages results of supply chain and force capacity movement efforts. Works with Joint Deployment Distribution Enterprise Partners to reduce total supply chain distribution costs within the Department of Defense (DOD) from an end-to-end perspective, while simultaneously improving service levels to the Warfighter. Identifies best practices commonly used in commercial supply chain organizations today and implements within the DoD supply chain. | |

DSO Branch - (TCJ5/4-LD) The DSO Branch develops and implements enterprise supply chain distribution cost savings between $95-300M per year while improving velocity by at least 25 percent. Working with JDDE partners, focuses on velocity improvements by removing white space in the end-to-end supply chain; optimizes surface traffic through maximal use and utilization of best-value container; and reduces air cargo costs by improving utilization and employing best-value air service. AT21 Branch - (TCJ5/4-LS) Implement and improve deployment and distribution concepts and capabilities. Develop and assess concepts and capabilities that enhance Joint Theater Distribution (JTD). Implement JTD solutions across the JDDE. Lead and support command efforts for expanding expeditionary deployment and distribution capabilities. Command lead for development and implementation of Deployable Distribution Command and Control (D2C2) capabilities including JTF-Port Opening (JTF-PO) and Joint Deployment Distribution Operations Center (JDDOC). | |
