Commercial industry is providing valuable information to support DTCI vision

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill., (USTCNS) --- The Defense Transportation Coordination Initiative Program Management Office continues to conduct market research in support of the DTCI vision. The team talked with industry leaders last week. The next effort will be to conduct a Pre-Solicitation conference to consider additional industry views prior to releasing the final Request for Proposals.

The DTCI PMO hosted one-on-one sessions, 13-17 June, with industry leaders to obtain ideas and comments regarding best business practices and commercial transportation management capabilities. A total of 30 companies participated and provided valuable information.

The vision for DTCI is to improve the reliability, predictability, and efficiency of DoD materiel moving within the continental United States through a long-term partnership with a world class coordinator of transportation management services.
